Robocup team
from SOŠE LH
We are fanatics from SOŠE LH who do robotics in their free time and actively participating in the RoboCup competition in the Rescue Line category.
Our team
This year we are participating in Robocup for the fifth year.
Our Process
Buying parts
First of all, we had to plan what would be on the robot and how the robot would look like. Some parts we have from school, and what we didn't have, we ordered from techfun.sk
Beginning of November
Model of robot
Model of robot was created in Fusion 360 and then printed od 3D printer Bambulab A1 mini. We had so many versions before we got to the final one.
November-January
PCB design
After many changes we finished model of robot, then we started to design PCB in Fusion 360
January-February
Assembly of robot
On the robot there are minimum of cables because of the PCBs, so it's asseblmy wasnt that complicated. Parts are soldered to circuit boards, which are connected with cable to each other.
March
Coding and tuning
Code is made in program called Arduino IDE and it was written in C++. We have arranged the program to more files to be able to navigate ourselves better in it. In the code there are so many comments to make code stay visible and understandable.
March-April
About us
We are the students from SOŠE LH, who do robotics and participating on the competitions of RoboCup in category Rescue Line Our goal is not only achieve results but improve our skills in programming, modeling, critical thinking and teamwork as well. This year we are participating for fifth time. So far we have managed to get 3 first places and 1 second place from all participants in category Rescue Line.
We have devided our tasks like this:
Sebastián Janovčík – coder of main logic of program and testing
Sebastián Surovček – programming of functions, motor control and processing data from sensors
Matúš Capko – hardware, 3D model design, schematics, PCB, soldering and creating website
Andrej Gajdoš – hardware, choosing parts, soldering and creating documentation
When solving problems, we can always rely on our teacher, who is ready to help and support us.
